Aiding Bulgaria’s coastal aquaculture research in mussel cultivation in the Black Sea
DHI has been engaged by the Institute of Fishery and Resources, Bulgaria to chart and analyse mussels’ growth and decay in the Black Sea under different conditions. Using our MIKE ECO Lab and MIKE 21 FM software, DHI will develop custom templates for different physical, chemical and biological processes of the coastal site in order to chart mussel culture.

Making great headway at the 19th DHI User Conference in Japan
On 21st and 23rd June, DHI Japan conducted the DHI Users Conferences (DUC) for our MIKE Powered by DHI’s software. Held in two locations—with the first day in Tokyo, and the second in Osaka—the DUCs aimed to connect with MIKE software users and keep them updated with the new developments and upgrades of our software.

MIKE Powered by DHI’s software seminar conducted by DHI Brazil
On 14 June 2016, DHI Brazil conducted their 5th seminar on MIKE Powered by DHI’s software. More than 30 participants from municipal and federal authorities, private companies, as well as universities gathered in São Paulo, Brazil to exchange knowledge and competencies on modeling technologies for water environments. Participants included existing MIKE software users as well as those interested to utilise our technology. They were able to access the new features incorporated in the new MIKE software suite and techniques recently developed by DHI during the seminar.

DHI China conducts a successful MIKE Powered by DHI MIKE 21 public training course
In March 2016, DHI China conducted a public training course on the use of DHI’s MIKE 21 software. The course, ‘MIKE 21 – Coastal and Sea Simulation’, took place at the Ji Mao Building in Shanghai. In attendance were nearly 70 professionals from various scientific research institutions, design companies and universities.

DHI was roped in to support the construction of a new onshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Chhara, India. Using MIKE Powered by DHI's MIKE 21 software, we were able to provide a base marine modelling study to analyse the suitability and viability of the terminal.

An accident four years ago at storm surge barrier Estemündung prompted Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) to initiate the development of a sediment management concept. DHI was tasked by HPA to support this development with a high-resolution 3D estuarine model.
